About the Workshop

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) plays a crucial role in advancing the quality of higher education in India through systematic assessment and accreditation of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Its primary objective is to foster a culture of continuous quality enhancement, ensure institutional accountability, promote academic excellence, and align educational institutions with global standards. This workshop is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of NAAC’s new framework, assessment criteria, accreditation processes, and the Maturity-Based Graded Level (MBGL) accreditation. It aims to equip faculty members, administrators, and stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and tools to implement effective quality assurance practices, prepare for NAAC accreditation, and drive institutional growth and excellence in accordance with national and international benchmarks.

A key focus of the workshop is to enhance awareness and expertise in Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Faculty members will receive training to strengthen their knowledge of quality parameters, assessment, and evaluation while conducting self-assessments in line with statutory guidelines and standards. The program emphasizes curriculum alignment with industry needs and the establishment of well-defined Program Outcomes (POs), Program- Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs). Additionally, the workshop highlights the integration of active learning strategies such as problem-based learning, internships, and project-based assessments, alongside the use of technology-driven tools like Learning Management Systems (LMS) and AI-based analytics for personalized learning. Continuous assessment through rubric-based evaluations and feedback mechanisms will further enhance learning effectiveness. Strengthening industry collaborations to provide realworld exposure and aligning academic practices with NAAC accreditation standards will ultimately enhance educational quality, ensuring that graduates are industry-ready and equipped with the necessary competencies.
